This is the second piece of equipment I have from Bowflex. As of earlier I have a Bowflex 3000 Home gym. In both cases I've experienced things that were broken on arrival, on the home gym I had a pulley that was bent and rod broke early on. On this, one of the grip was cracked and tore of at first use. The Bowflex customer support is awful so I'll probably end up fixing it myself. Back to the body Tower, it was fairly easy to put together, clear and easily to understand instructions. A good thing is to have you own set of tools then you have it installed in no time. It isn't super robust, but I'm 6'1", weigh 220 and can do dips, chin and pull-ups. If you grip the handle for the dips too far out, it starts to wobble a bit. When you do the Supine Row you initially get a sense that it will not hold, but it does. Another thing when you do the dips is that you get a bit of a feeling that you are crammed in and of course you need to bend you knees quite much. Over all I'm satisfied it is very versatile product and you can do a great deal of different exercises. I couldn't fit in a taller pull up construction in my house and I didn't want to go with a doorframe construction that's why I chose a stand alone one. If I could, I would have had one with the Pull up bar at a great height, now it feels little low. It also looks quite good if that is of importance but it is a good bang for the buck I think. You just need to be prepared for that a couple of things can be broken. Not the best quality but you don't pay top dollar as you have to for others.

Updating the review after 3 month. Im even more positive to it now. It is holding up very very well. I do chin up's and Dips with 45lb extra weight, ring row and knee rais without any problems what so ever. I don't have any problem with the wobbling I mentioned earlier. This is besides my bar/barbell my favorite equipment. I strongly recommend it and and want to change my earlier statement "you get what you pay for" to worth paying for.

I have been riding this bike nearly everyday for a month and it is rock solid. Nothing ever gets loose. My wife is 5'4" and I am 5'11" and it fits both of us and the adjustments are easy. The resistance adjustment is right on the handles and is just an easy tab you can move with your thumb. There are at least 10 settings but the most I can push is 7 so I think this bike will be challenging to most. The bike is very quiet; I don't even have to turn up the television while I ride.

One time I had a slight clicking towards the end of an hour ride. So I emailed Bladez customer service to find out if there was a quick fix I could do. They were very helpful and even scheduled a technician to come out on their own accord. Which would have been great except the clicking only happened one time for about 5 minutes in about 30 rides over 30 hours; so I canceled the tech visit. But I really appreciated how helpful they were.

This is one solid bike, not to mention how attractive it is! I did have problems with some of the assembly but with a little research was able to get all the pieces in place. The seat was aweful for ME; might work for others--replaced with a seat more suited to my bottom, hence 4 stars. I'm almost 64 years young, a bit overweight and have some health issues, and I really needed something that would allow me to get a good workout without having to drive to a track or go to a gym (both a waste of time and energy for me). I have to admit that I pursued this spinner bike thing with much skepticism--especially one designed for "home exercising". I researched for almost a month and read reviews and finally settled on this one. OMG, I was so pleased to see 4-5 stars on this bike all over the internet and the positive comments. Now I know why. This bike is awesome: Solid, sturdy, multi-adjustable, reasonably quiet, nicely priced AND attractive!! I've put myself on a 15 minutes moderate ride each morning to begin, and let me tell you. . .I'm sweating profusely by the end of the time (I used to lift weights and currently do lots of yard work so I'm not that out of shape). Ok, don't want to bore you with my enthusiasm about this product, but it's well worth 5 stars. If you're in the market, try this one.

I purchased this Hyper/roman chair made by Powertec because I own Powertec's leverage workbench and it is an OUTSTANDING, SOLID piece of equipment so, I thought that I couldn't go wrong with their Roman Chair- I was correct to think so. The P-HR 45 by Powertec feels extremely SOLID while in use. The previous review complained about the pads being set to far apart- I did not find that to be so. I actually think that Powertec did this so that men could do Hyperextensions on this equipment in comfort and not have to worry about the family jewels being ruined. (Thanks Powertec!) Most Hyper/Roman chairs that I have seen are a bit huge. This chair surprisingly takes up very little space. It is very important that you FOLLOW DIRECTIONS when putting this together. It states that you should NOT tighten the bolts when putting this together until all the bolts are in place. I put all bolts into place and then tightened them starting from the bottom of the chair and worked my way up. TRUST me when I tell you that you should take heed to this as it really does make a difference as to how solid this machine will feel to you when you are using it. To me, there is nothing more important than to have your abs and lower back in there absolute best shape. Do yourself a favor and add this EXCELLENT piece of equipment to your home gym.

This is such a great idea for fitting exercise into a busy schedule. I am currently in my last year of graduate school, in a program that is strictly online. Before I found this product I spent a good chunk of time sedentary, and gained more than a few pounds. But with regular use, I lost about 10 lbs in the first month, a total 30 lbs so far, and managed to maintain my weight over 6 months.

FitDesk is a small company that actually listens to its consumers. I have had to opportunity to use both the original (2010) and new (2011) models of this product and am truly pleased with the updates and improvements made on this fundamentally great idea. The company is quick to respond to questions and suggestions (always within 24 hrs) and seems genuine in wanting to produce a reputable product that meets the expectations of the consumer. This type of customer service is much appreciated and makes this company stand out from its competition.

The design of the bike is simple, yet effective. The bike mechanism is sturdy and quiet. It is quieter than any stationary bike, or other stationary fitness machine I have used at home or at the gym (e.g. treadmill, stair climber, or elliptical machine). One can easily work out in the same room as a sleeping spouse.

The new 2011 model has made quite a few improvements on the original design. The most noticeable (an appreciated) being the seat. For anyone not used to spending any length of time on a bike seat, doing so can be quite uncomfortable. But the new model comes with a cushioned, wider seat. Like any bike seat, it will take some conditioning to get used to the feel, but anyone who has used the 2010 model will immediately notice this improvement.

The designers have added a safety bar that locks the machine into an "open" or "closed" position. This feature paired with the nylon strap ensures that the bike stays in the position it was intended to for proper use. I like the added confidence these points offer. When in the locked "closed" position the machine can be moved and stored easily thanks to the addition of wheels on the base support.

There are updates to the foot pedals, body color, logo, and desk cover that really add a pleasing aesthetic to the look of the machine. Not only is the bike appealing because of the ingenious concept, but it looks sharp too!

The only suggestion I have is updating the means of securing a laptop to the desk. Currently, large rubber bands are provided, and serve their purpose, but take away from the new sleek design. But, honestly, this is not a huge concern because of the angle at which the desk sits on the bike. The laptop is not in a position to slide and a lip has been added to the lower part of the desk to add some resistance.

All in all, this is a great idea that really has been improved. And you will get a workout. I always work up a sweat and raise my heart rate. And now, with the timer/calorie counter/speed/distance monitor, I have a better idea of just how much physical activity I am doing. In fact, I find it easier to work out on my Fitdesk bike than jogging, because I can distract myself into working out longer by using my laptop. I can easily work out for an hour on the Fitdesk bike, while I find myself counting down the minutes of my jogs.

You can trust my review, bad or good is your choice and i hope you can try to buy this product and then you know this product good or no. Next time you can make a review for another people.

During High School and in the military, I did a lot of weight training. Ok, I'm not 16 nor 21 anymore. I'm now in my 40's and am an active cyclist, and skier. I bought this machine based upon the Consumer Reports write ups (it was rated number one) so my wife and I can quickly and easily do some strength training. My key requirements were size, Lat and Leg exercises and Durability/Quality. Only way to review this is to break it down a bit:

Assembly: A lot of parts, Directions are passable, but not great. Biggest problem I had was determining which bolt for which hole. It took a good 4 hours to assemble, and I'm pretty good at this kind of stuff.

Customer Support: Had a plate break in shipping, and it took under 2 minutes to get to a human being. (you deal with body solid directly for support.) He made note that a plate was broken and asked me to finish assembly and give him a call back, to make sure I didn't need anything else. I finished up, and had no other issues. Called back to his direct extenision and he drop shipped the plate from the warehouse. I'd say that was great service.

Exercises:

Leg Exercises - Leg lift for Quads is great. The standing one legged hamstring curl, took a bit to get used to but given the small size of the machine, I'll take it.

Bench Press - Very smooth, and you get two hand positions, one for more inner pec and the other for more outer. Downside is that the start position is a little far back, but now that I think about it, I may have the bench arm on backwards. Doh!

Lats/Back - This is where I believe this machine earns it keep. It provides a Lat pulldown, and a seated row position. This was key to me and it performs as expected. (note I'm using this for toning and not body building. A 160 pound stack works for me.)

Shoulders/Arms - The curl bar thats included does has a static handle, so its not good for curls. You will need to purchase a bar that has rotating handles. Since I use dumbbells for these exercises, it didn't matter much. I'm ordering a single rotating curl bar, so my wife can add some exercises.

Overall, I'd say its a great value for someone who wants a smaller in home machine to cover a lot of exercies, and wants to add strength training to their workout. If your looking to get 'Pumped Up', you'd be better with Free weights or a Gym membership. I looked for a used one, but they didn't last very long and had a pretty high resale value. I am certainly happy with my purchase, and now need to flip that bench press attachment around.
